If you’re the kind of camper I suspect you are, then you probably eat, sleep and breath camping. Maybe you’re not that committed, either way you’re interested in camping magazines – else you wouldn’t be here (duh)! At any rate, these are my favorite mags to read and are coincidentally the most popular in the camping industry.
These are my favorite mags, so I think you should check them out. It’ll probably save you time from looking around your local Wal-Mart or wherever (if they even have them all). There’s obviously lots more, but I just wanted to touch on my favorites for each of the niches. So; RV caravaners, pop-up tenters, old school tents, canoeing and backpacking are all covered.
Our Favorite Camping Magazines
Camping Life – Known as America’s Family Camping Magazine, this is obviously one of my favorites. They usually publish insider guides, gear review, great photos and feature some great parks. The website isn’t that great but the magazine makes up for it.
Camping (The Magazine) – that’s the name, honest. It’s geared towards those in the UK. Great reading material.
Family Camping & Canoeroots – They don’t really have a website for the publication, that I could find, and that’s unfortunate. They do, however, have a good magazine that’s worth mentioning. FC&C us dedicated to North Amarican canoeing and canoe camping.
Backpacker Magazine – Outdoors at your doorstep? Yea, that’s pretty much it right there. They’ve got the best website out there for outdoor enthusiasts, hands down. Catered to backpacker’s, obviously, but that fits alot of us camp guys (and gals!) just fine.
Family Motor Coaching- For motor home enthusiasts specifically, great for you RV caravaning folks. If you’re into the latest technology, tips and advice for those loving to hit the road.
PopUp Times – Pretty good mix for those in between full blown RV travelers and tent campers. Covers all of you pop up folks, including folding tent trailers, pop tops, camping trailers and the like.
