There’s nothing worse then getting all the way out to your campsite only to discover you’re missing something. What’s worse, is that it’s probably something important. This is why making a camping list is so important, you most certainly will forget something otherwise. This kind of brain lapse wastes valuable time if you have to go back, and makes for an inconvenient way to start your outing.
Here is a great checklist to look over when you’re packing up. Feel free to print this page out and check things off as you go, you can do this by simply highlighting the list and clicking File/Print in your web browser. I tried to cover all I could, and this check list has worked well for me in the past.
Camping Checklist
__ Tent and bedding, sleeping bag, blankets etc.
__ Non-perishable food and drinking water.
__ Cookware, portable stove, fuel, matches, can opener, charcoal, plastic eating utensils and paper plates.
__ Personal hygene items; like toothpaste and brush, soap and towels and especially toilet paper.
__ Cleanup stuff; like soap, cleaning tub and paper towels. Trashbags and ziplock bags are a must.
__ Clothing, appropriate seasonal items and extra underwear (I always forget this)!
__ First aid kit and other lifesaving items (medication, etc. if you need it). Bug spray and sunblock too.
__ Lantern and/or flashlights and candles. Compass and/or GPS. Don’t wanna get lost in the dark.
__ Rope, spare batteries, tackle box, saw/axe, utility knife and other survival stuff. Duct tape!
__ Cooler with ice is helpful, as are folding chairs.
__ Stuff to do for fun; like fishing poles, cards and games. A radio is always good too.
By no means is this meant to be a comprehensive camping list, you may add/subtract things as you see fit. This is something I’ve personally used prior to heading out the the camp-site, and I hope it helps you too.
